Mobile Family Services

On the road helping people: For 70 years, Caritas Mobile Family Services have been supporting families throughout Upper Austria at home with childcare, infant care, care for sick children and household management.
If an important caregiver is temporarily absent, care must be available quickly, especially for children. Is the mother ill or overworked? Does she need support during pregnancy or after childbirth? Or is a single parent not entitled to care leave for her sick child? If so, qualified Caritas Family Helpers are there to assist. The Family Helpers have been trained to provide childcare and household management. In special, very demanding situations, in which you need support for your family over a longer period of time, long-term assistance can be called upon. Long-term assistance can be approved for a minimum duration of 12 weeks.
The services of the Mobile Family Services are thus offered as short-term or long-term assistance for families with children up to the age of 15.

The Caritas Mobile Family Services are provided on behalf of the regional Providers of Social Assistance ( Social Welfare Associations and cities with their own statutes) and with the support of the Social Department of the Province of Upper Austria. The costs not covered by client contributions are financed in equal parts from Social Welfare Funds of the Province of Upper Austria and from funds of the Regional Social Welfare Organisations/Communities.
