Mein Name ist Erkan, ich bin aus der Türkei, lebe in Samsun, in der Schwarzmeer-Region.Ich habe bei Caritas OÖ invita in der Fähigkeitsorientierten Aktivität (Betriebsküche und Wäscherei) gestartet, als ich 29 Jahre alt war.

Zwischen den Bergen, eingebettet in die Natur, liegt das wunscherschöne Engelhartszell, an dem die Donau vorbeizieht. Obwohl es ein bisschen weit von der Stadt entfernt liegt und es nicht viele Geschäfte gibt, hatte ich nie das Gefühl diesem Ort ausgeliefert zu sein, da die Caritas uns viele Möglichkeiten geboten hat.
Vor dem ESK konnte ich kein Deutsch, also dachte ich, es wäre ein bisschen schwierig für mich, mit Menschen umzugehen. Es war manchmal schwierig, manche Situationen im Job zu meistern, ohne gut Deutsch zu sprechen. Aber zum Glück hatte ich sehr nette Kollegen. Sie haben mir auf jede erdenklichen Weise geholfen. Es war schön zu wissen, dass ich immer Fragen stellen und von ihnen lernen konnte.
Freunde fürs Leben
Mit dem Projekt lernte ich, wie man ein Leben von Grund auf neu aufbaut. Denn hier gibt es keine Leute, die man vorher kennt und man muss alles selbst erreichen. Das ist etwas, das einen Menschen wirklich weiterentwickelt.
Ich habe das Gefühl, dass viele meiner Vorurteile verflogen sind. Ich habe wunderbare Freunde gewonnen, mit denen ich für den Rest meines Lebens kommunizieren und mich treffen werde. Jetzt fühle ich, dass ich Österreich liebe und ich denke, dass ich lange Zeit hier bleiben werde. (Mit tollem österreichischem Dialekt).
Kurz vor Ende meines Einsatzes bin ich jetzt 30 geworden. Danke Caritas für diese Möglichkeit bei euch Erfahrungs zu sammeln!

Among the mountains, intertwined with nature, and the wonderful town of Engelhartszell, with the Danube passing by. Although a bit far from the city and not many shops. I never felt that we were victims with the opportunities that Caritas provided us.
I didn't know German before, so I thought it would be a bit difficult for me to interact with people. It was sometimes difficult to deal with some situations at work without speaking good German.But luckily I had very good coworkers. They helped me in every way they could. It was so nice to know that I could always ask questions and learn from them.
Wonderful friends
With the project, I learned how to build a life from scratch. Because here there are none of the people you know before and you have to achieve everything yourself. This is something that really develops people.
I feel that many of my prejudices have been shattered. I have gained wonderful friends with whom I will communicate and meet for the rest of my life. Now I feel that I love Austria and I think I will stay here for a long time. (with great Austrian dialect)
And shortly before the end of my project, I turned 30 now. Thank you to all Caritas for giving me this opportunity.
